Kitchen Trends for 2020

The White Kitchen will probably never go out of trend, but we are seeing different colours, patterns, backsplashes on the way for 2020.

Kitchen Trends for 2020

Natural appears to be the theme, with the word ‘sustainable’ popping up quite a lot.

Two Toned kitchens in natural colours are highly desirable, as we can see with Farrow & Ball launching their Natural History Museum inspired Colour by Nature collection. From Deep Reddish Brown to Duck Green and Dutch Orange to Broccoli Brown. Colour can change the whole feel of a kitchen, adding character and depth.  Forget matching cabinets and tiles, blending two colours throughout on to the cabinets and worktops and textures, offers freedom from the traditional kitchen.

We have been creating hidden storage for quite some time in our bespoke workshop, but in 2020, there is a real shift to towards discreet concealment options. We are always lured into new technology for our kitchens but we don’t want to necessarily see them. We want streamlined clever storage. A smart kitchen is part of the design from the start with Sub-Zero Refridgeration and Flex hot Taps.

We saw Quartz Worktops gaining in popularity in 2019, as they are sustainable and stand the test of time.  There is many textures and finishes of Quartz Worktops making them easy to integrate into any colour scheme. Read our Blog ‘Quartz is Queen of the Worktops’.
